1.  How is the money raised by this event used by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bridge?

All money raised stays in Luzerne County to directly provide the necessary support for the children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge Program.  Trained caseworkers screen all volunteers and closely follow each Big/Little match to provide a safe and beneficial mentoring experience.  For more information on the program, please visit www.bbbsnepa.org or call our office at 570-824-8756.

2.  How far is the walk/run?

Walk for Kids’ Sake provides a timed 5K Run and a 5K fun Walk so that everyone of all ages and experience can enjoy the event.

3.   Are awards given for the event?

Awards will be given to the first overall male and female in the 5K Run ($50 Gift Card).   Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in the following age groups for both males and females in the 5K Run:  19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over.
